The BBC says it is "determined to fight" after Donald Trump confirmed he plans to sue the broadcaster over the editing of his speech in a Panorama news programme.
In an email to staff, BBC bosses said there is "no basis" for a defamation case brought by the US president after the broadcaster edited a speech he made on the day of the US Capitol riots.
