Manchester City have announced they’ve lodged their appeal against the decision of an independent commission to find them guilty of breaching Premier League financial rules.
The Club’s firm position is that, on multiple grounds, the opinion contains clear material errors, of law, principle and fact, and is unsafe.
Meanwhile, the FA says the independent commission’s verdict against City has "significant implications for the integrity of the game".
In a statement, English football’s governing body added: "We’re carefully considering the decision and its implications and will take action where appropriate."
