Talks have begun in Saudi Arabia between top Russian and US officials aimed at bringing the war in Ukraine to an end.
Pictures showed America’s top diplomat, Marco Rubio, sitting oppose Russia’s foreign minister Sergey Lavrov in Riyadh.
Ukrainian and European officials have not been invited to the talks.
