Syrian media and the Reuters news agency are reporting that government forces are preparing to redeploy to the city of Sweida. It comes after reports of renewed clashes between the Druze and Bedouin tribes in the south.vMore than 600 people have been killed since violent clashes broke out in the semi-autonomous southern province of Sweida. Fighting between Sunni Bedouin tribes and the local ethno-religious Druze community began on Sunday. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, about half of the dead are Syrian government soldiers who had been deployed to the area to quell the violence. Those forces had withdrawn from Sweida as part of a US-brokered ceasefire.
