BREAKING: Tearful Angela Rayner says she acted with 'integrity' over stamp duty 'mistake'

Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner has told Sky News she "did not try and dodge any tax"  but admitted not paying the required amount of stamp duty on a home in Hove.

Speaking to Sky’s political editor Beth Rigby on the Electoral Dysfunction podcast, she said she was "devastated" by the claims made against her and said the mistake stemmed from inaccurate legal advice given to her.

Ms Rayner went on to say she would pay back any tax she owed.

The Daily Telegraph reported Ms Rayner avoided £40,000 in stamp duty on the flat in Hove by removing her name from the deeds of another property in Greater Manchester.
