Nottingham’s Inham Nook estate is among thousands of places across the country where household budgets are under pressure. Much of the estate falls within the most deprived 20% of areas in England, where two in five children live in poverty.
It sits in a constituency which elected a Labour MP last summer, but in this year’s local elections Reform won the biggest vote share.
Frances Read has been back to where she grew up to hear from those who say they are struggling under layers of pressure – with no hope that life will improve any time soon.
