BTS of an e-sports tournament with a $3m prize pool | New Money

Mobile gaming is a huge spectator e-sport in some parts of the world – but not so much in the UK.

In an effort to change that, at the end of 2024 London hosted the PUBG Mobile Global Championships finals, where 16 teams competed on stage, splitting a record $3m prize pool.

Sky’s James Lillywhite went behind the scenes at the event to find out how you make money from mobile gaming – and to investigate whether mobile gaming could really take off in the UK.
