Gen Z is already burnt out on dating app swiping — with over three-quarters reporting they are over it already. On the business side, the industry has been flagging for the last few years: consolidation by Match Group of the big players, privacy concerns on Grindr and in 2025 the first year of revenue decline in the market. Despite those bad omens, the women-first dating app Bumble has just been purchased for $1.3 billion. That’s because AI might be here to save our love lives.
