Join Ian King as Europe’s biggest company Novo Nordisk raises its forecasts fuelled by high demand for its weight loss and diabetes drugs.
We begin this morning with news of Europe’s biggest company, Novo Nordisk – which is once again raising its sales and profits forecasts for the year.
That reflected surging demand for its anti-diabetes and weight-loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy. Sales of Wegovy doubled in the quarter – with 25,000 Americans starting on the brand every week during the quarter.
The Danish company recently bought the US drug manufacturing firm Catalent in order to step up production for its blockbuster drugs
