The former health minister Andrew Gwynne who had the Labour whip removed over offensive Whatsapp messages has confirmed his is standing down as an MP.
Andrew Gwynne, who was suspended from the party in February 2025, is retiring from his Gorton and Denton constituency in Greater Manchester on medical grounds.
