Two cars were caught on traffic cameras disappearing into a sinkhole in Omaha, Nebraska on Tuesday afternoon. A red car and a silver truck pulled up to a stop light when a sinkhole opened up and partially swallowed both cars.
Omaha police said the drivers were able to get out of their vehicles to safety by the time emergency crews arrived, and no injuries were reported.
The hole opened up near the University of Nebraska in midtown Omaha. Authorities say the street could be closed for several days. They warned drivers to avoid the area as it is possible the sinkhole could expand.
