Healthy coral reefs are surprisingly noisy, and young fish use those sounds to find a place to live. Scientists have found that playing the sounds of healthy reefs can attract fish to damaged habitats. Artist Marco Barotti is using that research in underwater sound sculptures designed to support reef recovery. It’s an important discovery as record-breaking sea temperatures are increasingly pushing coral reefs to the brink. #DWEnvironment #DWEcoStream
