Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said that the UK will increase defence spending to counter the threat posed by Russia.
Speaking ahead of the summit in Paris to discuss Ukraine’s next steps, the prime minister stressed the need for continued support for Ukraine and called on allies to "step up".
"We’re facing a generational challenge when it comes to national security," he said.
The question is, can the country afford to play a major role in Ukraine’s future?
