Canadian police have named the suspect in the school shooting in British Columbia, which killed eight people, and said she had a history of issues with her mental health.

Officers said Jesse Van Rootselaar was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted injury following the attack at the school in Tumbler Ridge.
They said she killed her mother and 11-year-old stepbrother at their home before opening fire at the school.
