The author of a report into grooming gangs has urged the public to ‘keep calm’ over the ethnicity of offenders, pointing out that police data suggests the race of child abuse suspects is in proportion with the local population. Louise Casey’s comments come a day after the release of her report that found evidence of ‘over-representation’ of Asian and Pakistani heritage men among suspects, according to local data from three police forces.
