The UK has the diesel "stocks that we need", the chancellor has told Sky News amid record prices at the pumps.
John Healey also said he was telling a "hard truth" when he said "that Labour doesn’t have the money it had in the ’90s" at their party conference.
Despite that he said he would deliver a "breathing space budget".
