Chaos at Argentina-Morocco Olympic football match as fans storm pitch

The first football match of the 2024 Olympics descended into chaos last night – after a group of Morocco fans rushed onto the pitch.

The game against Argentina had to be suspended for almost two hours – eventually resuming in an almost empty stadium. Argentina’s coach described the scenes as a "circus" and said he’d never seen anything like it.
