Cheryl shares post criticising the media coverage of Liam Payne's death

Cheryl pays tribute to Liam Payne in an Instagram post saying it’s an "earth-shattering event".

The Girls Aloud star and One Direction singer were in a relationship from 2016 to 2018, and share a seven-year-old son named Bear.

In the post Cheryl says that their child will have to "face the reality of never seeing his father again"
and that one day, Bear will have access to the "abhorrent reports" that have been coming out since Payne’s death.
