Keir Starmer and other European leaders gathered in Kyiv for the first time as they threatened Vladimir Putin with fresh sanctions if Russia fails to comply with an unconditional 30-day ceasefire.
The prime minister met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, the new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
The leaders agreed to press Russia for 30-day ceasefire from Monday with the backing of the US president.
