Colossal squid filmed in natural habitat for first time

A colossal squid has been filmed in its natural habitat for the first time ever.

The creature was spotted in the south Atlantic near the Sandwich Islands, by a team of scientists who were searching for new marine life.

This one is not very colossal, it’s just 30 cm long. But they can eventually grow up to 7 metres long and weigh as much as 500 kilograms.
