UNICEF says the declaration of famine in Gaza City is "our worst fears being realised".
A UN-backed body on Friday declared famine in the city and its surrounding districts, saying it was "entirely man-made" due to Israeli actions, a charge denied by Israel.
UNICEF’s Tess Ingram told Sky News mothers in Gaza were "watching their children die and there’s nothing they can do about it".
She said the conditions she had witnessed in clinics were the "worst conditions among children I have ever seen".
Israel’s defence minister warned earlier that Gaza City could be destroyed unless Hamas accepts Israel’s terms to end the war.
