Contactless card limit to be scrapped in the UK

Shoppers will be able to pay for larger amounts using contactless payments with the Financial Conduct Authority scrapping the current £100 limit on contactless cards.

The rule changes will take effect from March the 19th and it will then be up to firms if, and when, they take up the flexibility to change their limits.
