A criminal investigation into an alleged gang rape at Cornell University has been reopened.
A former student says she was drugged and sexually assaulted by seven members of the Chi Phi fraternity in October 2024.

She’s suing Cornell, accusing the university of failing to protect her, and claiming some of those accused received little more than essays and workshops as punishment. Cornell denies that, saying sanctions included expulsions and suspensions. Following renewed attention and new Snapchat evidence, the case is being taken to a criminal grand jury.
