Over 80 countries are calling for a global roadmap to phase out fossil fuels.
The campaign is being led by nations across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Pacific at the COP30 summit in Brazil, together with the EU and UK. They argue that commitments risk stalling if there is no clear plan to transition away from coal, oil, and gas. Brazil, the host country, and a number of its allies want the roadmap to be included in the summit’s final agreement.
