
EU ambassadors are set to hold an emergency meeting regarding the latest threat from U.S. President Donald Trump concerning Greenland. Trump says he will raise tariffs on eight European countries until they allow the U.S. to buy the autonomous Danish territory. Trump claims he needs the Arctic island for national security reasons, but his allies say that threatening Denmark plays right into Russian President Vladimir Putin’s hands.
