Hundreds of supporters of the coup in Niger have rallied outside a military base operated by the former colonial power France. Fears are growing for the health of the elected president Mohamed Bazoum. He’s been detained since being deposed last month. West African nations have begun preparing for possible military action to reverse the coup.
