Court strikes down Trump tariffs: what happens next?

A US court has ruled that President Trump wrongly used emergency powers to impose global tariffs. A court of appeal found the president had no right to impose many of the import charges.

It’s a blow for a key presidential policy but the judges did not strike down the tariffs meaning the administration can appeal to the Trump-friendly Supreme Court.
