The Home Office has said that a crackdown on migrants working illegally in the UK has led to a rise in arrests.

It said that between July 2024 and last December there were more than 17 thousand raids on what it called ‘dodgy businesses’ which included nail bars, car washes, take-aways and barbers.
The Home Office has also launched a TikTok account posting footage of deportations and arrests by immigration enforcement.
