New regulations have been introduced to control pedicabs in London for the first time which includes a ban on loud music and maximum fares.
Drivers must now hold a full driving licence and meet minimum medical, language and safety standards. Local MPs said residents had been putting up with noise and disruption from the pedicabs for too long and hailed moves to clamp down on "rip-off" prices and inconsistent safety standards.
