Croatia’s first generation of military conscripts in 18 years have been officially sworn in.

It joins several European and Nato nations who already have mandatory military service or have recently brought it back because of rising concerns about security in Europe.
Croatia says it wants to call up 4,000 conscripts every year after introducing the law in October.
The newest batch of recruits will complete their basic military training on the 9th of May.
