‘Crypto King’ Sam Bankman-Fried gets 25 years in prison

He was known as the ‘Crypto King’, feted by politicians, endorsed by celebrities and entrusted with billions of dollars of funds.

Now, Sam Bankman-Fried has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

A judge in New York found that customers, investors and lenders lost $11 billion after the collapse of his FTX firm and rejected pleas from his defence for a shorter sentence.
