Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has said the department will no longer use Elon Musk’s social media platform X – declaring that it "now favours abuse and misinformation over meaningful debate".

It’s the second government department to withdraw from the platform, after the Attorney General told his office not to use X last month.
Ms Nandy said she would also stop posting, saying it wasn’t healthy for democracy.
