Dame Prue Leith says assisted dying bill setback is ‘tragic’ at a protest in support of the bill

The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, which proposed legalising assisted dying in England and Wales, is expected to fall at the end of Friday’s debate, its final scheduled sitting of this session of Parliament.

Wednesday’s protest in favour of the bill was met with a counter demonstration, held by people who were opposed to assisted dying.
