The meeting of cardinals at the Vatican has provided an update on plans for the funeral of Pope Francis, which is due to take place outside in front of St Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
Giovanni Battista Re, the dean of the College of Cardinals, will lead the service on Saturday 26 April at 9am UK time.
