David Lammy has been labelled "the world’s stupidest deputy prime minister’ after reportedly creating a security leak for Andy Burnham.
Mr. Lammy gave the new Prime Minister a contact number he believed to be of one of Donald Trump’s close aides – but it turned out to be a con artist.
Speaking to Ben Leo on The Late Show Live, former Conservative MP Louise Mensch said: "If Lammy pulled this number from his black book, how long was he texting with this fake?"
She added: "We should find out how long David Lammy, the world’s stupidest deputy prime minister, was texting with these people, who are almost certainly Russians or Chinese hackers, trying to winkle out our state secrets."
