Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has cut short his visit to South Africa to return to Kyiv after a widescale Russian missile and drone attack across Ukraine left at least 13 people dead and injured more than 100 others.

A day of mourning has been declared in Kyiv which came under the heaviest attack – rescuers are still trying to locate people trapped under the rubble.
Officials described the scenes of destruction as "Russian peace in all its glory".
