Deadly wildfires spread across southern Europe

Firefighters in Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Albania, Sardinia, Kosovo, and Montenegro have been tackling wildfires which have killed 14 and displaced thousands.

The WMO says that extreme heat is becoming “more frequent and intense” as a result of global warming.
