Defence Secretary John Healey is delivering a speech on defence investment ahead of the chancellor’s budget next week.
It comes as MPs have warned the UK lacks a national plan to defend itself from attack.
The defence secretary is expected to announce that at least 13 sites across the country have been identified for new arms factories, creating around 1,000 new jobs.
