Democrat Abigail Spanberger, Virginia’s first female governor, delivers victory speech

Democrat Abigail Spanberger has won the Virginia governor’s race, defeating Republican Winsome Earle-Sears. Spanberger said her win sends ‘a message to the whole world’. Virginia chose ‘pragmatism over partisanship’, she said to cheers from the crowd.
