Divers have recovered 52 bodies from a ferry that capsized in Indonesia earlier this month.

The Virgo Transport 8 ferry issued a distress call in rough water in the Java Sea on 13th September with 243 people on board. Authorities later discovered the vessel had capsized.
108 people were initially rescued but dozens have remained missing. With the latest recoveries, there are still 83 people unaccounted for.
Indonesian authorities say the search operation is ongoing and every available resource is being deployed.
