Doctors' Strikes: Government 'desperate' to avoid picket line action

Resident doctors in England have held the first of five days of strikes, after last-minute efforts by the Health Secretary failed to avert them.

Wes Streeting says the action, led by the British Medical Association, is "reckless" and everything is being done to minimise the risk of harm to patients.
