In a speech on state television, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei denounced the demonstrators as vandals and saboteurs and signaled a potential crackdown on the unrest. In response to the biggest nationwide rallies in years, Tehran has cut the internet and international calls. Human rights groups are reporting dozens of deaths.
