Donald Trump has announced plans for the US to end sanctions on Syria during his tour of the Middle East.
It comes following talks with Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman and Turkish leader Tayyip Erdogan and ahead of his meeting with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa on Wednesday.
"It’s time to shine. We’re taking them all off," he said. "Good luck Syria, show us something very special."
