Donald Trump immune from ‘official acts’ as president

It’s quite something when a candidate describes being referred to a criminal court to decide whether his prosecution should continue – as a big win.

But such is the reality of this year’s US presidential election.

Donald Trump’s team is celebrating after the Supreme Court decided that presidents do have immunity for "official acts".

In an impassioned dissenting opinion, Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor said it made the President into a "king above the law" and made her fear for democracy.
