Donald Trump has said that the US is putting ‘a lot of pressure’ on Russia to reach a peace agreement with Ukraine, and says he thinks a deal is close.
Earlier today, the US president criticized Vladimir Putin, after Russia launched a large-scale attack on the Ukrainian Capital.
Posting on Truth Social the US President wrote he was "not happy’, and called on the Russian President to ‘stop’.
At least 12 people have been killed in last nights strike, with more than 70 injured, including six children.
It prompted Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy to cut short his official trip to South Africa, describing the attack as ‘one of the most outrageous’.
