More than 700 people in five municipalities in Spain’s Zaragoza province have been evacuated after a wildfire erupted near Ores on Wednesday, local media reported on Friday, July 17.
The local government of Aragon said it evacuated the municipalities of Asin, Ores, Luesia, Malpica de Arba and Uncastillo. News reports said several care homes in the area had also been evacuated, and a number of roads had been closed.
Footage captured units of specialist forest firefighters tackling the fires to protect the area from changing winds.
Meanwhile drone footage has captured the spread of flames in a separate fire near Madrid.
