"Driving Home For Christmas" singer Chris Rea dies aged 74

The singer behind ‘Driving Home for Christmas’, Chris Rea, has died at the age of 74.

The Middlesbrough–born musician passed away peacefully in hospital following a short illness.

His family said they were “immensely saddened” by the loss of their “beloved Chris”.
