Drone footage shows the scale of destruction wrought by Israel’s intensified campaign of airstrikes across Gaza City, after Hamas launched a large-scale attack on Israel’s southern frontier on Saturday. The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said Israel was at war and vowed to turn Gaza into an ‘island of ruins’ in retaliation for the attack.
