Ed Sheeran apologised for "mistakes" and addressed his feelings about the Israel-Palestine conflict at his first concert since the controversy over Macklemore being dropped from his tour and other support acts quitting.
Sheeran said the attacks in Israel on 7 October were "horrific" and what is happening in Gaza is "catastrophic". He said "injustice" in the West Bank also "cannot be overlooked".

Before the concert in Philadelphia, a protest took place outside the venue where some fans said they could no longer support Sheeran while others hoped politics could stay apart from the music.
Macklemore was forced to leave Sheeran’s tour after venue owners threatened to ban him over pro-Palestinian comments on stage, with other acts leaving the tour as well in solidarity.
