Eight on trial over murder of teacher in France

The trial of eight people in Paris has begun over the beheading of a teacher in 2020.

Samuel Paty was murdered outside his school, days after showing his pupils caricatures of the Prophet Muhammed in a class on free speech – something which many Muslims find offensive and blasphemous.
